Meet Lexie

Lexie is a Dogue De Bordeaux that I had the pleasure to have a session with this past week. She is currently looking for a new home after her old owners left her in an abandoned house. If you'd like more information on Lexie please contact me and I will get you in touch with her current foster family. She really is a sweetie!

Meet MissM

I finally finished proofing a recent session. This young lady and I had a wonderful time shooting....she has the most gorgeous eyes! She's not yet a Senior...so I'm really looking forward to doing her Senior photos in a few years.

Puppies.....

Just a quick share of some puppies I had the privilege to play...I mean shoot this past month. Aren't they the cutest? They had the most amazing blue eyes! All but 2 are off to their new homes...anyone out there interested in a boy husky...I can put you in touch with the rescue that has these pups!

One Dirty Dog....

I was just discussing with another photographer how one needs to grab the camera when something goes wrong because looking back later you'll be able to laugh!!!

As many of you know it's been raining almost daily here as of late. Well, if you are a dog....it doesn't matter if it's raining...you still need to go out, but if you are Duckie (my Jack Russell Terrier...who should be 90% white) and there is a chipmunk running around in the backyard you might decide to STAY outside. I called her several times to come in before I threw in the towel and let her just stay out there. My husband finally alerted me that she wanted to come in.....Chipmunk hunting in the rain is evidentially a dirty business!

That photo is what I found sitting at my door! ROFL! I don't think she was as amused with the mini session of photos that took place when I found her at the door that way. The best I could do was a side glance from her. She probably knew of the impending bath, which are NOT her favorite!

Brand New Blogger...

I have so many wonderful family members, friends & clients who like to follow my photography I thought I would make it a tad easier...and hopefully a little more entertaining. Especially, for the loyal followers who show up at my cubicle at my 9-5 job to look at the current photos posted on the walls and the friends who stalk my photo sites!

For those new to Heather Marks Photography...Welcome to my passion! Somewhere along this journey someone handed me a camera (actually, it was Christmas of 3rd grade and it was Mr. G) and since then I have been filling photo albums. On my trip to New Orleans, LA to visit relatives after Katrina I purchased my first "real" camera and I was off and running trying to ever improve on my skills. Today, I enjoy capturing images that make clients smile when they receive their order.
